An Attempt.

Well, there goes my poor attempt at posting everyday. For shame. Below is the front & back cover for the latest SF Center for the Book exhibition catalog, designed by Nibby/SLIV (I haven't quite decided if SLIV would be a separate, custom design entity, or not, but it still lingers). This is one of those projects that started off slowly (due to the holidays), and then suddenly was due. I wish I had more time to spend with it.


The exhibition, Once Upon a Book, highlights the process and work of six children's book illustrators: Remy Charlip, Maira Kalman, Elisa Kleven, David Macaulay, Chris Raschka and Brian Selznick.

All of the work is lovely, but I really LOVE Maira Kalman's work. I mean, I would die to have a copy of this in my foyer:
