Surfacing.

So many things to report.

Much has changed in the brisk 6+ months that's passed since I left a decent post. I understand that it's hard to keep the attention of loyal readers when I write at the rate of 2 posts/year, but thank you for bearing with me. In my defense, I've moved (twice!), and have been otherwise consumed with an exciting job for the best new restaurant in San Francisco: Commonweatlth.

Nibby Co. designed the identity and menu system and also letterpress printed it all. Quite the job, but I'm so proud to be a part of the Commonwealth project! The food is just phenomenal (they use chemistry to gently manipulate ingredients, and layer flavor in such a clean and balanced way that something new and delicious is created), the space is warm and inviting, the service is beyond, and the value is astounding. More to come with coverage of the entire project and other bits, but a small tease courtesy of Jennifer Yin / Eater SF:
